Whoah
[The voice broadcasting over the 'gears is impressed and awed and a little overwhelmed. This is pretty amazing! Of course it helps that Jimmy's still a bit blotto from his most recent binge with Ima, and the shock of waking up here has worn some. Where is Ima, anyway? He blinks into the screen, eyes bloodshot red but expression one of wonder and curiosity. She couldn't have gotten far - she didn't move fast. It never occurs to him that he's on his own here.
A lifetime of science fiction comics and serials has prepared Jimmy to figure out the broadcasting feature of his 'gear relatively easily.]
I mean whoah. Look I've heard of crazy trips before, but this takes the cake. The colors, the music, the people.... Who was that broad that said she was my mom? That lady was not my mom. What kind of sicko tells random strangers they're their mother?
[That's a sensitive subject for Jimmy.]
This little guy with me's crazy, though! He looks like a dinosaur or something. Is he? I mean, hey, weirder things, am I right? I never had a pet before, couldn't have one back home. I mean there was the camp dogs, but they weren't pets.
[He turns the 'gear to show a Cubone sitting not far from his feet before swinging it back to himself.]
So what the hell is this place? I feel like I woke up and hey, suddenly I'm Captain Video. But all that stuff about UFOs and aliens landing in New Mexico...that's just bull, right? This is like some kind of...fancy new theme park? I read they were building one out in California next year. We get one down here, too?
By the way, I kind of lost...well, I guess I'm kinda lost. How the hell do I get back to Jupiter from here?
[It doesn't even look like Florida, it's got to be some kind of crazy theme park. Right?]

[Heather's answered this several times, and despite her general disdain for mothers as a concept, each time it always seems a little sadder.]
That lady's kind of-- ... you know.
[She spins a finger next to her ear.]
She thinks she's EVERYBODY'S mom.
Don't read too much into it.
[Instead of letter her just...do whatever it was she did. He still doesn't know how he ended up with her.]
Aw, never mind, not my business. So you gonna tell me how far from Florida I am, toots, or do I hafta guess?
As for the Florida part...
[Okay she could break this the easy way or the hard way. ... This guy seems pretty chill (although... 'toots'?). Let's see how the hard way goes.]
You're not in Florida anymore, Dorothy.
And there's no ruby slippers around to take you back, so... pretty damn far.
Sorry.

[Jupiter's probably the name of some city this guy's from, but it's still funny.]
Either way, you're a long way from wherever that is, so you might as well get comfy here. This isn't any theme park.
And what are you talking about? I couldn't have been passed out that long.
[He shrugs. Nope, the word Florida means exactly nothing to him.]
But I doubt you've heard of where I'm from either, so we can just call that even.
[He lets out a short laugh.]
Oh, you don't need to be out for long to come here. Just the blink of an eye.

[Elsa laughs a little. Boy, she wishes she could've been so excited like this when she first arrived.]
Welcome to Johto. It's a land that's very likely far, far away from your home, but don't worry, you're safe here.

[Jimmy laughs. Safe? Ha, sure. People like him are never safe. Jupiter was supposed to safe, and look how that had gone down. He's only safe until someone sees his hands.]
Joe-toe? That sounds like somewhere in the far east or something.

What's Jupiter?

It's a little town in Florida. Got a crappy diner, but it's home right now.
Or close enough.
I don't know what Florida is.
I know what a diner is, though!
You can get food at diners. And if you squeeze the food, it drips grease.
[Why was Wrath squeezing his food? God only knows. He squeezes just about everything he picks up to see what happens.]

Uh, but...you're talking about Roswell, right? [Something seems off about the way this guy talks, but, he can't quite place it.]
Video
Huh.
Roswell, yeah! That was the place. I heard about it on the radio, but even I know it was weather balloon. Folks just like to be spooked, that's all.
Video
What? You're kidding! It was totally aliens! There's no way with all the research and studies they've done and interviews with the residents that it was a weather balloon! [Well, his folks do study ghosts for a living, so it's not surprising he's a believer.]

Jupiter...? But that's...a planet. I don't think rockets can take people that far yet....

I don't think anybody lives on Jupiter.

The UFO incident in New Mexico being bull is what the government wants you to think. It's legit, man. Just wanted to get that out there.
[He's just going to hope that part about Jupiter is a joke, 'cause uh...yeah.]
[Jimmy laughs, as though the idea of a 'UFO Expert' is the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard.]
And if you're one of those skeptics who eat up everything the government tells you, I have proof of my own that aliens exist.
[He proceeds to point the 'Gear's camera to an Elgyem, which is nearly the spitting image of a typical grey alien one would expect to see in the movies.]
Behold! It's a Grey!

If this is a theme park, I'm sure there's a bunch of us who'd like to talk to the management - get some sort of ticket refund or something, head back home, all's good.
But unfortunately, it looks like it's going to be a long walk back to Jupiter - planet or otherwise.
no subject
I'd say this is all impossible, but here I am. Why am I here? And why just me?
[There's plenty of better people deserving to be spirited away from the rotting hellhole the show had descended into recently. Or who had deserved it before tragedy struck.]
It's pretty great here, though! You get so many animal friends.
Heh, it's gonna take me long enough to figure out how to take care of just the one!
