[Jimmy's looking a lot better than he did last time he was broadcasting. He's sitting on a couch, and it doesn't look like he's been hitting the sauce.]

So...how does a guy who's never had a real job get himself a real job?

I don't need nothing fancy, just something that pays at the end of the week, you know? I can haul boxes or sweep a floor, I know options aren't great for a guy with no education and no normal work experience.

[But he's not going to be some moocher, he's gonna pay rent and buy food and be able to get things fixed when they broke. All that kinda stuff a guy ought to do.]

But everybody's always telling me how that doesn't matter here, so I figure there's gotta be options!

Oh, oops. Sorry, Celadon and Goldenrod are kind of similar and I'm just coming back from Kanto. That's why I got mixed up, since it's been on my mind.

But yeah, you might try asking there. I've been doing some cashiering jobs and stuff like that since I'm not really the one you want moving around heavy stuff, but I sleep either at the circus or just out of town if the weather's nice enough, so I don't have to worry about rent.

Yeah. I don't really like cashiering. I'd rather draw, but I can't get much money from selling my drawings.

[And it's not like he can publish a book or something.]

Splitting rent sounds like a good plan, though. Do you split chores, too?

They do, but with the amount of time it takes to make a good drawing and the amount of money I'd charge for it, it doesn't work out to a good hourly rate. I want to get better at drawing before I feel okay charging more - I've only had fingers back for a few months, after all.

If you ever want to hang out or need some help with stuff, just let me know.

Yeah, I'm thinking about it.

... I read a lot. I practice my show a lot too, and even when I'm not practicing I usually take Regal out for at least an hour's flight once a day unless the weather's bad. Sometimes I explore the city or the areas just outside of it. I want to get to Cianwood at some point soon, but not until the show's over for the month. But I like exploring.

Yeah. And I like just... being in nature. I mean, I track the patterns of the Pokemon I see, especially the birds. I haven't seen them migrate here like they do at home which is really weird. Sometimes I'll just sit and watch them. At home I used to watch the field I lived near for hours.

... Being a bird teaches you a lot about patience, really. I don't need to be on the go all the time. Though I do need to get to Cianwood to battle Chuck.
