Know what? Just to be safe, I'm gonna get one of my level hundred guys to come along. I inherited'em, and I don't got any badges yet so only Haze listens to me, but he's a Flareon and he'll take care of anything that might try and give us trouble.

[Off she goes to the gym! She's got a few Pokeballs on her stylish belt, so she's been able to capture some friends. Yay! Mister Fancy Pants the Noibat still sits on her shoulder, and she's heading to the 'place near the gym', humming. She's either oblivious or ignoring the panicked looks of everyone around her.]

[Jimmy's thinking maybe this had been a bad idea. Things hadn't seemed bad looking out the window from the hotel, but in the city...geeze. There was a lot a more excitement than usual. He's glad he brought Haze with him. Between the Flareon and his Marowak, he figures they should be fine. And both Pokemon are on high alert.]

Christ, it's like War of the Worlds out here! What's going on?

[But his Pokemon can't answer, so he just heads to the Gym and hopes Draculaura's alright. Maybe he should have canceled...]

[She's been waiting outside for him, but when he arrives, it's his Pokemon that get the squeals. She runs over, delighted.]

Oh My Ghoul, you've got some real cuties with you!

[Jimmy's always happy to show off his team. And he's glad whatever's going on hasn't gotten to her. These things usually blow over quick, anyhow, so they'll probably be fine. Probably.]

This handsome dino guy with the bone motif here's Omi, he's my first and we're best buddies. And the fiery fox-cat is Haze, he belonged to a good friend of mine who went home, so I look after him now.

[Haze starts preening under the attention, puffing up his tail and perking up his ears.]

He's a real flirt.

[She tries to pet them both at the same time, continuing to squeal. Mister Fancy Pants just rolls his eyes at all the noise, not moving from her shoulder.]

I can't believe all the different pets people get to have here... I just wish my ghoulfriends were here to see them. Heath would love to have a fiery kitty-cat, and Styx would be all over someone else who has an exposed bone or two...

[Jimmy laughs as his Pokemon preen under the attention.]

Careful, they'll never leave you alone! They don't get to meet too many pretty girls.

[The house in Goldenrod is most definitely a bachelor pad, between him and Tobias.]

Right? I mean, I seen some weird animals, I'm in the sideshow business, but these guys...I didn't know how I was gonna look after more than two, then some friends left and left me all their Pokemon so now I got like...dozens. And it's not that hard, they can take care of themselves for the most part. And it's like you always got a family with you, you know?

[She looks up in surprise.]

You take care of all these animals all by yourself? That must be so hard! How in the world do you do it?

Yeah! Having a house makes it easier, and I got a couple of those Pokemon that are...I dunno, they make me think of aliens. They're kinda human shaped and psychic so we can talk to each other like normal and they can do all kinds of stuff. So that helps, too. And I live with a buddy, and we help each other out with our Pokemon.

[Jimmy shoves his hands in his pockets and rocks on his feet.]

Hell, I know guys that got way more than me!

Wow... this place is keeps surprising me over and over! Good thing I like surprises.

So, this place where we're eating... can it feed our animal friends too? It'd feel weird eating while they didn't.

It's one crazy world, but...I dunno, I like it. I been here a real long time now, and...I think I could do good, staying here.

[He knows it's not up to him, but he wouldn't mind. He misses his family, sure, but...he can have a normal life here.]

Oh yeah! This whole world revolves around these guys, there's hardly anywhere they can't go. Come on, let's go grab some food. It's getting kind of...excited out here.

Maybe there's some kind of event going on... it is close to Halloween!

Yeah... A couple of people have been telling me that weird shit goes down in October, pretty regular. I dunno, this is my first Halloween here, I came right after it. But...that's why I'm hanging out here for so long.
